Tigers: RHP Justin Verlander (11-5, 2.42 ERA)

Verlander comes into Progressive Field on a roll, having allowed three runs on 11 hits over 25 innings while going 3-0 in July. He lost a tough decision in Cleveland in May despite eight innings of two-run ball as part of a three-game series sweep.



Indians: RHP Zach McAllister (4-1, 3.17 ERA)

McAllister pitched well in his last start against the Orioles, but was a tough-luck loser. He allowed three runs on five hits over a career-high 7 2/3 innings. He has allowed three or fewer runs and struck out at least five in his last five starts.
