Tigers: LHP Duane Below (2-1, 2.70 ERA)

Below will make his first start of the season in a spot assignment for Max Scherzer, who was scratched with a tight hamstring. He made two starts last July and was a rotation candidate in Spring Training before a rough finale landed him in relief.



Twins: RHP Nick Blackburn (4-5, 7.74 ERA)

After four decent innings on Wednesday against Chicago, things took a turn for the worse. Blackburn allowed back-to-back home runs and exited after six runs on nine hits in five frames. The righty is seeking his second quality start of the year.
