TIGERS, MARLINS FINISH IN 3-3 TIE:
The Tigers and Marlins played to a 3-3 tie in 10 innings yesterday afternoon at Joker Marchant Stadium. Rick Porcello tossed seven innings for the Tigers, allowing two runs (one earned). Brennan Boesch finished with a double, home run and two RBI for Detroit, while Jhonny Peralta added two singles and a home run.

GOING YARD: Through 24 games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 34 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 34 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have compiled a 2.84 ERA through the club’s first 24 games of Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is second among all American League clubs with a 2.84 ERA.

DELMON DOES DAMAGE: Delmon Young is tops in the Grapefruit League with a .413 batting average, 39 total bases and 19 RBI this spring, while he is second with 19 hits and third with five home runs.

RABURN ROLLING THIS SPRING: Ryan Raburn is tied the lead among all Grapefruit League players with six home runs this spring, while he is second with 18 RBI and third with 35 total bases.

ELEVEN MINOR LEAGUERS JOIN TIGERS FOR TODAY’S GAME: The following 11 minor league players have joined the Tigers for today’s game versus the Astros: righthanded pitchers Michael Morrison (#71), Thad Weber (#36) and Tyler White (#17), lefthanded pitchers Shawn Teufel (#65) and Austin Wood (#30), infielders Brent Dlugach (#9), Jordan Lennerton (#44) and Brandon Loy (#28) and outfielders Tyler Collins (#24), Daniel Fields (#29) and Chad Wright (#36).
