TIGERS FALL TO YANKEES IN 10 INNINGS: The Tigers suffered a 4-2 loss to the Yankees in 10 innings at Joker Marchant Stadium yesterday afternoon. Daniel Schlereth (1-1) took the loss in relief for Detroit. Max Scherzer started for the Tigers, but did not factor in the decision after fanning eight batters and limiting the Yankees to two runs in seven innings of work. Audy Ciriaco belted a solo home run for the Tigers, while Danny Worth added an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

GOING YARD: Through 21 games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 30 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 30 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have compiled a 2.98 ERA through the club’s first 21 games of Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is second among all American League clubs with a 2.98 ERA.

DELMON DOES DAMAGE: Delmon Young has hit safely in 12 of his 16 games during Grapefruit League action this spring. He is tops in the Grapefruit League with a .405 batting average, 36 total bases and 19 RBI this spring, while he is second with 17 hits and tied for second with five home runs.

RABURN ROLLING THIS SPRING: Ryan Raburn has hit safely in eight of his 12 games during Grapefruit League action this spring, including six of his last eight games. He is tops among all Grapefruit League players with six home runs this spring, while he is second with 34 total bases and 18 RBI.
