TIGERS TOP THE NATIONALS 6-3 LAST NIGHT: The Tigers knocked off the Nationals 6-3 last night at Space Coast Stadium in Viera. Duane Below (1-0) earned the win for the Tigers, while Jose Ortega closed out the game for his first save of the spring. Ryan Raburn led the Tigers with a single, home run and three RBI, while Andy Dirks finished with two single, a triple and an RBI. Clete Thomas added two hits and an RBI for Detroit.

GOING YARD: Through 11 games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 19 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 19 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have compiled a 2.65 ERA through the club’s first 11 games of Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with a 2.65 ERA.

RABURN ROLLING THIS SPRING: Ryan Raburn finished with a single, home run and four RBI last night against the Nationals in Viera. He is tops among all Grapefruit League players with four home runs, 14 RBI and 22 total bases this spring.

CHECKING THE LEADER BOARDS: Andy Dirks is fourth in the Grapefuit League with a .400 batting average this spring, while Miguel Cabrera is tied for sixth with a .364 batting average and Don Kelly is ninth with a .353 batting average. Brennan Boesch, Eric Patterson and Delmon Young are all tied for third in the league with two home runs this spring, while Young is tied for fifth with seven RBI.
