TIGERS AND METS TIE 7-7 IN 10 INNINGS: The Tigers and the Mets tied 7-7 in 10 innings yesterday afternoon at Joker Marchant Stadium. Andy Oliver fired four scoreless innings for the Tigers. Alex Avila finished with a single, double and two RBI for Detroit, while Miguel Cabrera added a single, double and an RBI.

ROSTER MOVES RUNDOWN: The Tigers reassigned catchers Rob Brantly, Curt Casali, Patrick Leyland and James McCann, infielder Nick Castellanos and infielder/outfielder Justin Henry to minor league camp yesterday. Detroit unconditionally released righthanded pitcher David Pauly and placed catcher Victor Martinez on the 60-day disabled list (left knee surgery) yesterday. Additionally, the club advised infielder Hernan Perez (Single A Lakeland) and outfielder Avisail Garcia (Double A Erie) that their contracts will be optioned to the minor leagues on Thursday.

GOING YARD: Through 10 games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 18 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 18 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have compiled a 2.71 ERA through the club’s first 10 games of Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is second among all American League clubs with a 2.71 ERA.

CHECKING THE LEADER BOARDS: Ryan Raburn is leading the Grapefruit League with 11 RBI this spring, while he is tied for the lead with three home runs. Brennan Boesch, Eric Patterson and Delmon Young are all tied for third in the league with two home runs this spring, while Young is tied for fifth with seven RBI and Boesch is tied for eighth with five RBI.

THREE MINOR LEAGUERS JOIN TIGERS FOR TONIGHT’S GAME: The following three minor league players have joined the Tigers for tonight’s game versus the Nationals: righthanded pitchers James Avery (#19) and Robbie Weinhardt (#43) and catcher Jeff Kunkel (#71).
