TIGERS TOP THE RAYS: The Tigers knocked off the Rays 8-1 yesterday afternoon, Detroit’s sixth straight win to open theGrapefruit League season. Doug Fister (2-0) tossed three shutout innings to earn the win for the Tigers. Delmon Yung belted athree-run home run for Detroit, while Miguel Cabrera and Ramon Santiago both finished with three hits.

GOING YARD: Through six games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 12 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 12 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have allowed eight runs through the club’s first six games during Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with a 1.17 ERA this spring.

RABURN, YOUNG AMONG LEADERS IN HOME RUNS AND RBI: Ryan Raburn and Delmon Young are both tied for the lead in the Grapefruit League with two home runs this spring. Raburn is tied for the league lead with eight RBI this spring, while Young is tied for fifth with five RBI.
