TIGERS TOP THE MARLINS: The Tigers knocked off the Marlins 3-1 yesterday afternoon. Rick Porcello (1-0) earned the win for Detroit, while Brayan Villarreal closed out the game for his first save. Austin Jackson led the Tigers with two hits and an RBI, while Danny Worth added a double and an RBI.

GOING YARD: Through four games of Grapefruit League action this spring the Tigers have belted 10 home runs. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 10 home runs this spring.

STINGY STAFF: Tigers pitchers have allowed six runs through the club’s first four games during Grapefruit League action this spring. Detroit is second among all American League clubs with a 1.25 ERA this spring.
