TIGERS TOP THE BRAVES 18-3: The Tigers defeated the Braves 18-3 yesterday afternoon at Joker Marchant Stadium. Max Scherzer (1-0) earned the win for Detroit. Ryan Raburn belted two home runs for the Tigers, while Austin Jackson, Brennan Boesch, Danny Worth, Prince Fielder, Delmon Young, Alex Avila and Jhonny Peralta all connected for a home run.

GOING YARD: The Tigers belted nine home runs in an 18-3 win over the Braves yesterday afternoon at Joker Marchant Stadium. Detroit is tops among all American League clubs with 10 home runs this spring. The Tigers single-game record for home runs during the regular season is eight home runs, accomplished twice by the club. Detroit last connected for eight home runs during a single game in the regular season on June 18, 2006 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

TWO MINOR LEAGUERS JOIN TIGERS FOR TODAY’S GAME: The following two minor league players have joined the Tigers for today’s game versus Toronto: righthanded pitcher Bruce Rondon (#22) and lefthanded pitcher Austin Wood (#30).
