TODAY’S 75TH CELEBRATION INFORMATION: The Tigers will celebrate 75 years in Lakeland for Spring Training all throughout the spring. As part of that celebration, Tigers infielder Ramon Santiago (in the memory of former Tigers righthanded pitcher Jose Lima) and Bill Brown (the club’s current advisor, team travel and former general manager of the
Lakeland Tigers during the 1967 season) will both throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to today’s game.

TIGERS AGREE TO TERMS WITH FIVE PLAYERS: The Tigers today announced the club has agreed to terms on contracts for the 2011 season with the following five players: righthanded pitcher Ryan Perry, catcher Alex Avila, infielder/outfielder Don Kelly and outfielders Brennan Boesch and Austin Jackson. The club now has all of the players on the team’s 40-man roster under contract for the 2011 season.
